Scapegrace Prophet’s Rock Red Vermouth

Rich, Spiced & Plump Aroma is bright & spiced, reminiscent of poached cherries and mulled spice, the palate starts with a sweet cola-like spice balanced with citrusy coriander seed and floral kanuka, finishing savoury and bitter with horopito spice and wormwood.

Scapegrace Prophet’s Rock White Vermouth

Bright, Dry & Herbaceous Aroma is dry and intricate with fresh citrus, herbaceous elderflower & forest floor. The palate starts clean and sweet with balanced acidity and candied floral notes, finishing woody and bitter with wild thyme and wormwood.

Prophet’s Rock Pinot Gris 2022

This Pinot Gris amazingly consistent in style and quality, sweet pear and red apple aromas with hints of white spice and white flowers. The palate is medium in body with concentrated fruit notes and finishes with a splash of acidity, followed by crunchy mineral and light phenolics adding to the complexity and giving structure to the wine. Well balanced and delicious as always!

Prophet’s Rock Dry Riesling 2022

The Prophet’s Rock Dry Riesling comes from our Rocky Point vineyard, where we have a tiny one-hectare parcel growing on schist rock soil. Riesling holds a special place in our hearts and gets a lot of attention in the vineyard and winery. Wild yeast ferment in old oak barrels & cellared before release. Complex, floral & citrus aromas with great freshness, spice & underlying minerality.

Prophet’s Rock Vin de Paille 2021

We started our dessert wine programme by looking back into the ancient history of winemaking. Vin de Paille is a method of producing concentrated, sweet wines through extended drying of the harvested grapes. The earliest written records go back to 800BC and the resulting wines are very long-lived. The concentration of this wine is balanced by remarkable freshness making it an amazing food match.

Cuvée Aux Antipodes Blanc 2022

The nose opens with beautiful white floral aromas, white peach and mandarin.  The palate continues the white peach, and orange citrus, backed up with notes of brioche and macadamia – supported with a subtle lick of and well-integrated oak.  The wine has a backbone of stoney acidity and oyster shell-like minerality, tying everything together, and leading to a long and graceful finish.

Olearia Pinot Noir 2021 duplicate

Vibrant red and dark cherry, hints of boysenberry and layers of baking spices are in perfect harmony in this seamless wine. The dusty, integrated tannins add structure to the elegant middle palate and the lingering finish is filled with mineral and red fruit notes.

Retrospect Pinot Noir 2018

This carefully cellared reserve wine is only released a minimum of five years after harvest. It comes from a tiny parcel in our Home Vineyard, grown and made to showcase our unique site with the benefit of time. Stored perfectly until release, this wine is open and engaging but will certainly reward patience collectors with further cellaring.

James Sucking, 97 points! Silky tannins and a line of citrus like acidity lead to a energetic and long finish.

Cuvée Aux Antipodes Blanc 2020

François Millet notes – “This wine is the reflect of the Clutha river flowing just below, mineral, transparent and luminous. There is nothing exotic, “artificial” or “made up” about the expression of this wine. That shows again the link between what is emanating from the land, the feeling you have from it and the expression of the wines.”
