White Wine of the Year — Prophet’s Rock Cuvée Aux Antipodes Blanc 2022

We are pleased to share that the Prophet’s Rock Cuvée Aux Antipodes Blanc 2022 has been named White Wine of the Year in The Real Review’s Top Wineries of New Zealand 2025 Awards.

Judging panel chair Jane Skilton MW described the wine as “a thrilling and exciting wine… showing the consummate skill of a winemaker keen to explore the potential of a great site.”

In The Real Review’s tasting notes, the Cuvée Aux Antipodes Blanc 2022 is praised for its “deep mineral, citrus and spicy oak aromas… layered yet compact with saline intensity and crystalline acidity.” Awarded 96 points (★★★★★), it is ranked #4 of 32 2022 Central Otago Chardonnays, and recognised with Top Rank status.

Created in collaboration with François Millet of Chambolle-Musigny, the Cuvée Aux Antipodes Blanc reflects a meeting of hemispheres: Burgundy’s tradition of precision and texture with Central Otago’s tension and minerality. The wine is grown on schist and clay slopes of Bendigo and crafted with minimal intervention to express the clarity and structure of its site.

Described by The Real Review as “powerful, saline and finely balanced,” the wine will continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
